Gone Country Hoax
I just finished watching the gone country finale and I have never been so disappointed in a show's outcome in my life. are you kidding me. Julio won?
He without a doubt had to be the least country sounding performance of the entire show. All through the program he never once even acted like he cared whether he won or not - and definitely didn't put very much into the song writing.
I mean come one, the whole show was obviously a set-up from the beginning, just to make John rich alot of money because the ladies fell over themselves to touch Julio.
Everyone else on the show at least wanted to go country - this guy couldn't go country if he was born in Nashville.
What a shame - I'll never watch another episode if they decide to do another season.
Unbelievably bad.

Country Gone
The show stunk
John Rich/Gone Country Sellout
There is little doubt, that JR sold out on this one. Unfortunatley, he ruined what my wife and I thought to be a neat show. To be quite blunt, Julio sucked! This certainly appears to be rigged. He DEFINATELY WAS THE VERY LEAST COUNTRY!
As far as Im concerned, there are 3 very glaring problems with this mess:
1. JRs comment early in the show about there being the need to find a bridge between country music and spanish speaking people (Hint:Cha-Ching$$).
2. JRS HYPOCRACY. He blasted that Diane Degarmo and went on this big tirade spewing "I'll kill for country music", and BLAH-BLAH-BLAH tradition, and on and on. Big and Rich are so far from country tradition its not funny. From the stage antics, the the off the center musicians that ride with them in the Muzik Mafia, lyrics to some of the songs. Dont get me wrong, I dont mind them. In fact, Im all about variety. Shaking the tree usually nets good results. But dont get downright mean and offensive and try to come across as someone your arent. I thought she was pretty good (Diana). And that leads right to the third and most obvious meltdown...JULIO??!! What the F@#$%!!!!
3. I am a mega country music fan for all the reason JR was ranting about. The family. The church. Our country. Genuine hard working folks, etc! As good as I thought everyone was, there were 2 obvious standouts when it came to really bringing it genuine, and from the heart. That was Bobby Brown, and Maureen Mcormick. They had outstanding songs. Great performances. Real Meaning.
JULIO WAS NOT COUNTRY..."AT ALL"...to guit his lazy ass self! He was a bum. NOT a team player. He acted conceded, and he seemed very uninterested.
Bobby and "Mo" deserved a little more cred. I was very surprised that they were as good as they were. I woulda never thought they would have stood out so much to me. Hats off to them.
All the credit to all of them. Sisqo was impressive. Carnie was also impressive, and hilarious! I wanna merry her. What a fireball. And cute!
As for you John Rich. You really oughta be ashamed of yourself. What a stunt, all for the money.
THAT IS SO NOT COUNTRY.
I still like your music, and your style. I have to shoot straight though, you are a total hypocrit. Youve certanly lost alot of my respect for that reason.
Good luck with Julio. Hes a bum.
Me, I hope I get a chance to buy a country record from one of the other folks. Id hate to think other people in Nashville would be so stupid as to miss out on those opportunities.
Sincerely,
"JRSellout"
PS..Keep your hat on JR! LOL
