Well, since blogging is something which seems to be encouraged here, I thought I'd give it a try here.

I'm looking forward to watching the CMA Awards. Yes, I'll probably be disappointed by who wins. Yes, I don't like that they've taken out all mention of the new inductees to the Country Music Hall of Fame. No, I don't mind that the Eagles are performing or that Rascal Flatts gets two performance slots.

For those who do not get to go to concerts regularly, the awards shows are an opportunity to see a slice of what a variety of acts are doing. The awards shows also give those who might think they would never darken the door of a country concert the opportunity to see how varied country music is and how GOOD country music songs are today.

I just hope the sound feed to television is at least decent. I've given up on expecting good.
